Automatic rear wiper

Featured Replies

I have a 2019 SEL estate and can’t figure out the auto rear wiper. Is there anyway to deactivate it without loosing the front auto function?

It’s annoying randomly wiping the rear screen in light rain even when the stalk is in the off position.

The handbook mentions personalisation but I can’t see any option in the menu

You've got the stalk pushed forward. Pull it back and all will be fine.

There's a tick box in setting/wipers/auto rear (or something like that)

Definitely not pushed forward but will monitor.

I don’t have that setting in the menu. Only activate/deactivate auto wipers so I then lose the front ones. There was a similar thread on the Kodiaq forum

On my MY20 Superb the setting was under the rain sensor settings if memory serves me correctly. CoolC is correct, that there was a tickbox that would also enable rear wiper based on the automatic sensor in the front.

I stopped the rear wiper wiping a dry screen on my Kodiaq,  by unticking the rear wiper when in reverse box, it’s hardly a hardship to flick the rear wiper when required.

Yes turned that off. Easier to do your self like you say.

I’ll check the menu again, I’m sure the only option was automatic rain sensing wiping that did both front and rear!

Sorry if I didn’t make it clear in my post but turning off the wipe when in reverse also stopped the rear wiper doing its thing automatically  in light rain etc when it wasn’t required.

Thank you I noted it didn’t do it driving in this morning since I had disabled it.

Odd way of doing things! Maybe a poor language translation by skoda
