Automatic wipers

Featured Replies

I was led to believe my Superb SEL has automatic wipers however there is no "auto" setting on the stalk, does anyone know if the SEL definitely had auto wipers as standard?

One movement from the off position anti clockwise will give you the auto setting.

Will try that thanks

It's set in the software - Car menu I think. Then just move stalk to first position.

I've gone back to normal intermittent settings as the auto just did it's own thing generally at the wrong time

Don't forget these automatic things ate reactive and not proactive.

The auto wipers are fairly good but do activate randomly when not needed.

Keeping with auto wipers. If the car is turned off properly 'mid wipe' . Do your wipers park themselves when the car is next turned on .(all in auto mode) mine doesn't, and either needs a nudge of the delay adjuster or a move of the wiper stalk. Feature or error?

They park automatically after you drive off and exceed about 10 mph, annoying when the screen's wet and the parking wipe would clear it.

Thanks for replying, obviously I'm too impatient! Never thought it would be motion sensitive, presumably a bit like the autolocking.

Will resist the temptation to flick the switch next time.
