Hi, are there any dealers who look through this site regulary or maybe you clever briskodians will know the answer to my query.

I am going to be ordering my vRS in about a month as want it for the middle of July when i get back off holiday. I have been really keen on getting a lemon yellow one but then found out that yellow has been discontinued. With sprint yellow being introduced to the Octavia in May I was just wondering if the fabia would be getting the same treatment of sprint yellow.

I went to my local dealer during the week to have a test drive ( OMG the car exceeded expectations, it pulled so well ) and spoke to them about the yellow and as far as they are aware yellow is not going to be an option on the fabia anymore. They also mentioned an introduction of a new colour (the word tangerine and orange were used :confused: ) but dont think it would be available for the vRS.

Any information regarding new colours or whether vRS's will just be available in Red, Black and Silver from now on would be great.

If they are the only options then it's gotta be red as the other 2 colours are more common and i want to stand out.

Apparently Sprint Yellow will be available for the FABIA VRS in the coming months and it replaces lemon yellow as there is not a big enough demand for it any more.

I don't mind a nice loud yellow,but that horrible washed out and pale effect is gorrible. Seem to remember that seat do / did a similar yellow on some versions of the leon mk 1.

Shoudn't be an issue as RED IS THE FUTURE ........

yes the yellow is bright yellow. similar colour to mg rover yellow.

its similar brightness to the Octy 2 vrs blue but in yellow. it's the same yellow used in the octy 2 vrs!

If anybody is going to be in their dealer at any point soon this would be great to know as my dealer didnt think it was goign to be available but many of you briskodians seem to be more in the know than many dealers anyway.

im not sure. try doing a search in forums as this has already been covered but can't remember. it is about may i think.. week 22 spings to mind.??

Due to factory balls up my re-order of yellow is currently on hold waiting intro of sprint yellow. Don't know when it will be available tho 27/5 for octy, Found out that this new yellow will be mettalic.

Fabia vRS and Sport only - week 22 onwards, but 10 - 20 units per week worldwide until week 26. Confirmed by Skoda UK today

IS week 22, the 22nd week of the year or does the skoda calander work differently? I asume week 22 is 29th may or somewhere around then. Would I have to order after week 22 or have the car ordered before so can be built in week 22? Not too sure how the ordering process owrks as never bought a new car.

I need the car before the middle of september so will have to try get my hands on one of those limited number of units.

Where did you hear about this news? Would be great to know of a source so can mention it to the dealer as they didnt seem to have any idea about sprint yellow.

Week 22 is indeed 22nd week of the year, 29/05/06 onwards.

Production form this date onward , so I suppose you could order now.

Your dealer should know now - tell them to look on their computer. If they still can't find it, order one from a dealer who can, if you know what I'm saying;)
