Android Auto - Get's stuck in Google voice mode

 

Does anyone else AA gets stuck in Googles "voice mode" after it saying for example a google maps command or after been asked a question,  resulting in if you try to revert back to the radio / Spotify etc the volume control just increases the google voice only and fails to play anything, only work around is to disconnect the phone and reconnect.

There is another workaround by just clicking on the voice button "top right" as I remember and then clicking anywhere on the screen to cancel it.

 

Then your volume control will change to Radio/Spotify

 

P.S. I didn't have the same issue anymore after my Android Auto was updated and got the new GUI now.

 

I have the same issue but can never figure out what I do to get me into the situation. Typically it seems to happen just after I start the car.

I am using the latest AA GUI an still get the issue.

I press the microphone icon, say "cancel" and back comes the radio sound. I would guess I first had the problem a year ago and at first did the "unplug, re-plug" routine. A few months back I had about a around 2 weeks where plugging in the phone  started Google Maps with no Menu> Android>Maps  on Columbus display - a sadly missed bug.

yeah, ive also done the cancel option in the past, this worked find on the previous AA version, but i find on the new version this no longer works, another workaround which sometimes works is cancelling the route and re-navigating sometimes refreshes the audio to cancel too..

I've had this in my 2016 SE Business from new as well even with the new interface. It regularly gets stuck on the android auto voice and also doesn't play the first song you try and play on spotify. I used to do the microphone cancel routine but the quickest for me is just to turn the stereo on and off. Works every time and super quick.
