AFS Headlight full of moisture

Featured Replies

Hi just wondered if anyone has experienced this, it’s really bad now on my passenger headlight. Skoda say the warranty excludes water ingress, but they will have a look at it anyway. It must be faulty, the other one is fine!

I'm aware these headlamps are vented, so perhaps they'll find a load of leaves and crap stuck to the bottom? Either that or it's fecked.

That's the worst I've seen. Quite a few of us get a small build-up when the weather turns colder, but it soon goes away and looks like a mist. Something like this (not my car - lifted from an old thread on the subject). Whereas yours looks like water droplets.

Have you been over-enthusiastic with the jet washer?

+1 for light misting which sorts itself out. That looks wetter than an otter's pocket.

Mine steams up at bit at this time of year but clears in the spring/summer.

Yours looks wet.

You should look at the top of headlight there is small "rubber tube". That tube is there to get moisture out. Make sure it has free flow by sticking toothpick or something through. but not too far.

Cheers all, I have let it dry out a few times (left the back cap off on a warm day)

It clears up completely but every time it returns it's worse...not in the dealers til monday, I will check the tube thanks
