Is Skoda Rapid a good car to invest?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

Im looking to buy a used car. I found a skoda rapid 1.6TDI of 2015. Problem is that the car has around 270.000 km. The car is in perfect condition, but im a bit worried about the high number of km that the car has done.

I would like to ask you guys based on your experience, should i expect major breakdowns in the near future?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Igen

Welcome,

that would be a risky purchase and no investment.

Will you be doing low km's with it and how long do you want to keep it for?

You could certainly expect some expense, what has been spent so far on servicing and maintenance backed up by reciepts?

Hi Roottootemoot,

Thanks for the fast response. As i know all services and maintenance of the car are done properly at a certified workshop. The car was used only by one person from the beginning. It has that amount of km because he is a sales manager and travels all around the country. The reason of selling the car is because they are renewing their cars with 2019 Skodas, not any other reason for selling the car.

I do around 100km everyday

167,000 miles / 270,000 km is a good time for them to be replacing.

So are all tyres good, the windscreen not chipped, the water pump changed at some point?

Is the price low enough compared to less km cars?

Yes everything is in good condition. Also water pump and belt are changed at the proper time (I don't know exactly at how many km belt and water pump is changed). The price is 5000€
