I've got a problem which has just started on my twin boot. When you opened just the boot before it would 'whirr' as the boot opened and then when you closed it, it pulled the boot closed. Now when you open just the boot it doesn't whirr until the boot is nearly closed so you have to wait for that to finish before closing it otherwise it will not pull the boot closed.

When you open the hatchback it never whirrs now so when you close it you need to lock the car which then triggers it to realise it is closed and do the whirring thing, then you have to open just the boot and close it again for it to close properly.

Anyone else had this?

Anyone any pointers for what could be wrong? The local [independent] garage has had my boot apart and spent two hours on it so far testing all the switches and things and turned up nothing.
