Details are:

5Q0035874A

Hardware: H24

Software: 0245

NAV database: 5L0051236H  0521  ECE 2016

They all look so alike and I cannot nail down what it is.. Oh, it has the maps on SD card 2 and a spare SD slot (1) for media.

Maps on SD card 2 and part number beginning 5Q0 = Amundsen MIB2

Does anyone know how to get the latest map to install.

I manually copied the zipped files onto the SD card and now the Sat Nav won't work at all. To add insult to injury it's wiped my station list and reset it to Radio 1 when i turned the radio on.

I just clicked on download at the update portal and it took about 15' to download, once downloaded I used Winzip to unzip the file directly to the SD card (which I formatted to FAT32) and popped it back into one of the cars SD card slots and it has worked perfectly.

I downloaded them, unzipped to my desktop, there is a folder marked 'maps' and a .text file - dragged both of these to the SD card. Popped the card into the slot and now have 2020 maps...

Did you unzip to the card? that would have been fine or unzipped to your PC then copy/paste to the SD card, both should work fine.

Really sorry to about being stuck on radio one, that must be absolute hell......

Thanks all finally updated my maps. I Used the Skoda maps and the VW instructions.

Now I've just got to reload all the Station Logos.

Open the file with Winzip and extract to the SD card "drive" and it'll do it all to the card directly.

No sign yet (14/11/19) of MIB1 Amundsen 2020 maps on either the Skoda portal or the VW navigation website - despite a comment that new maps are available in weeks 25 & 45 and it now being week 46

I didn't have any issues at all with the map updates - I was answering somebody elses predicament! Thanks for the reply though @TheWanderer

I have now copied new maps over manually
