Kodiaq Windscreen Washer Timing - Pain

Featured Replies

Yes, I don't think @DavidKnell is suggesting the wiper stops mid sweep, more the point at which the passenger side blade stops and returns back down the screen a mark is being left.

Ours sometimes does it but only after washing the car with certain 'wax' based cleaners.

Mine is a MY20 build and there is around a second delay from pulling the lever to water hitting the screen. Not as instant as I'm used to but not too bad over-all

On the subject of wipers though, I've just done a 350mile roud trip to wear this new kodiaq in and I noticed that the rear wiper was intermittently wiping even when the rear wiper was switched off. It was raining but the rear screen did not require wiping. I thought the automatic wipers worked front only unless reverse gear is selected. Is there any way to switch off the rear auto wipe when not reversing?

Yes it’s it the settings in the infotainment  wipers you might have to scroll to see the rear options

Many thanks, I must've not scrolled far enough when I was was looking. I just saw an option for rear wipe when reverse selected

That’s what I turned off and the random rear wipes stopped. Seems strange but it’s easy enough to flick the rear wiper if required when reversing, rather than have dry rear screen being wiped at random.
