iOS 13 and Columbus connection problem?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've installed the new iOS versio (13.x) this week on my iPhone (8). Since that time, the BT connection with the Columbus is not as efficient as it was.

Each time I get into my car, the PIN code is asked, where as it wasn't on iOS 12.x

Once the (correct) code has been entered, the Columbus seems to try to synchronize something without succeeding... I've driven for 25 mn yesterday and I still got the "Please wait" message on the Columbus once I had reached my destination.

During this kind of "synchronization", I can't do anything. All icons or buttons are frozen. I need to full switch it off and then switch on to make it run normally.

Does anyone face the same issue? 🤔

Note I assume there is a synchronization, since in the Phone menu, I can read "Synchronized contacts : 0/0"... Though I can see all of them in the Columbus Phone / contact menu. Quite odd...

Thanks for your help.

;)

I normally use an Android phone but have noticed a similar thing when using an iPhone.

It turns out to be one particular app that most probably hasn't been made updated yet.

You need to unpair your phone then pair again...

Hi,

I was about to unpair the phone, but surprisingly the problem vanished. No PIN code, no "please wait" and all contacts were synchronized!

Great!

Anyway, thank you all! 👍

Hi All,

After updating iPhone 7 late last week I've been having same issue, just seen that there is another IOS 13.xx update available now so will try update tonight and try pairing in car tomorrow

I’ve been having this problem with iPhone 7 which is on iOS 13.1.3. After removing devices on both phone and car then re finding seems Ok now.
