Front Shock absorbers G02 vs G06

Looks like it, well done.  Feeding in the first two item 8 part numbers from here into the autodoc search box suggests exactly that.

Edit: or maybe not? This page lists ones that are 50mm and 55mm as being equivalent to OE number 3C0413031BC: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/3c0413031bc

I smell a rat... maybe just rubbish compatibility checks on autodoc?

@Frenchtone, any chance of a quick measure? :)

Or you @Urrell if your car is G06?

I believe it came with G02 as it's a Yeti 110bhp, however the G06 seem to the 'Heavy Duty' version. As i do occasionally go off-road a bit, I'd rather get the G06 if they fit.

Shock absorbers will make little to no difference in that situation. It is the actual springs that are the important part.
I would suggest you fit the standard GO2 part.

Measured the dampers, 50mm.

Any idea where the option sticker is? Isn't in the spare wheel well.

It should be to the left hand side of the boot floor, to the left of the well.

Type G02 (50mm) = 110bhp / 280mm front discs

Type G06 (55mm) = 140bhp+ / 228mm front discs

Have you got the disc sizes muddled up?

Lost the original service book.

1ko 412 021 ke

That part number isn't recognised as far as I can see. I suspect it is a subcomponent of the strut rather than the 'real' part number. See for example the second photo here:https://www.proxyparts.com/car-parts-stock/information/part-number/1k0412021ke/part/front-shock-absorber-rod-left/partid/8418069/

The actual part number of that shock is the 1K0 413 031BH on the smaller sticker with the QR code on it.

On the brakes, I suspect a typo, 228 should have been 288.
