I have a slight dilemma, my treasured Octy vRS Estate has to go (Wife drives it more than me & she say's it's too big).

So I have been looking for a Fabia vRS, I have found 2, the first is an 05 Black but Standard

Depending on the mileage of the 04, I'd probably go with that one - plenty more toys will make it more enjoyable and also aid resale value

more airbags=good. parking sensors? it's a little car with a flat rear! you won't need them! still not convinced about xenons, either...

I have tried the new route, most dealers are looking for about £4000 to change, the Octy Estate is in Silver,mint condition apart from one mark on the back bumper, 53 plate 24500 miles with Cruise & Park Sensors. Basicly don't want to put in that much money.

Both Fabia's I am looking at have the same mileage (10,000 - 11,000 miles)

But I'd be tempted by the 05 model' date=' it wll be the facelift model so will have a few little things a bit nicer than the 04 one. Different dash (dimpled bit and indented airbag label), deleted rear door pins, different grille, different rear lights, different ASR light etc). Plus you will benefit from all the extra warrenty etc.

But still, see how cheap you can get a new one. Try [url']www.drivethedeal.co.uk[/url] and other similar brokers, and then take the print off to a dealer to match the quote

The PX is the stumbler, as stated if you want a cheaper new car you won't get the money in the PX.

That said i'd keep looking around and see what turns up.
