It usually says the type on the expansion tank, yours will probably say G12. This has been superseded to G13;  this stuff: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Seat-Volkswagen-Audi-Skoda-G13-Coolant-Antifreeze-Replaces-G12-G013A8JM1/264227270370?hash=item3d852c2ee2:g:chUAAOSweEFcf9i~

As you can see, it's not very expensive when bought genuine from a dealership, maybe a tenner or so for each bottle.

Qty-wise, it depends how much has been removed.  It's actually quite tricky to remove all the coolant from the system, so generally the best idea is to measure what has been drained, and refill with that amount, mixed approximately 50/50 concentrated coolant to water.  Usually a couple of 1.5 litre bottles will probably do, just depends how much of the system has been drained.

Not too sure on your engine mate, there doesn't appear to be a drain tap at the bottom rad hose fitting which would've been easiest.

I'd sooner let a member with direct experience of your engine supply info.

The TFSI doesn’t have a drain **** that I could see, If you have got one it’ll be fairly obvious to use and it’ll be on either corner at the bottom of the rad, if you don’t have one just undo the bottom rad hose by pulling the metal clip back and pull off the hose, they are usually tight so prepare for a bit of a fight, and have a bucket handy.

i can’t remember when they changed to g13 but genuine or euro car parts stuff will be fine with whatever your manual asks for, I use the euros antifreeze all the time without issue though, it’s currently in the VRS.

once drained, hose back on, make sure it’s all the way on and the clip is seated properly, start pouring the coolant in gently, once it stops filling up and your at the max mark, leave the coolant cap off, turn the engine on and leave the heaters on full hot, let the car tick over for a bit but you need to get the car up to full operating temp so if yours is a tdi you’ll need to rev it a little, maybe 2k rpm to get some heat in the engine.

during the whole time keep an eye on the coolant level and top up as it goes down, I usually massage the top hose to try and help push the air out as well.

once it’s up to temperature put the cap back on and go for a drive if possible, then double check your coolant level.
