Virtual pedal

Featured Replies

Had to have virtual pedal disabled because  automatic boot was opening on its own even when key fob was in a faraday pouch.

Skoda tell me that now its been disabled I will no longer be able to open the automatic boor using the key fob or button inside the car.

Is there a way I can have the virtual foot pedal disabled and keep the remote and inside button to work?

(please don't ask how or why the boot is opening on its own) this has been covered in another post.

Thank you

Yes you can. Either disable virtual pedal in the ecm or enable the fob and interior buttons in the ecm. Both require VCDS or similar.

Hi there

I was told today by the tech service guy at Chester Skoda main dealer that its one or the other?

Virtual pedal, fob and inside button

One disabled means all disabled?

Thank you

I mean that it is two ways of doing it the way you want. If you go in to the ecm you can «unplug» virtual pedal and the car will no longer think its installed. Or you can activate opening/closing from both interior button and keyfob.

Sorry, maybe Im not explaining it well enough (and bad english).

ecm? is this engine car management?

Is this something I can do myself? or does it have to be done at the main dealer?

I am not very tech savvy

Sorry

A car has several electrical control modules, which controls different things.

You need a diagnostic tool to perform these tasks and you have to know what youre doing.

Some dealers do this and some dont. But there are members here who do it for you (if there are some in your area). If you drive to Norway I will surely help you ;)
