BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDII Scan Tool

Featured Replies

I am considering buying a BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDII Scan Tool for my 2016 Skoda Octavia Scout.

However, I have read some reviews where people has said the reader was essentially made for the USA market and may not work

for vehicles not sold there.    Has anyone had any experience  with using this reader on a Mk III Skoda Octavia

and did it work to your satisfaction.       I would also appreciate any advice regarding an alternative reader that may be better for my vehicle.

Thanks

OBDEleven 100%, knocks all universal scan tools out of the water and does 99% of what VCDS can do for £55. £35 for the dongle and £20 ish for the PRO pack to make long coding changes. The new dongles have just come out and iOS support is coming but I will continue with my old dongle and a spare Android device.

Take the young lady's advice. You won't regret it.

Thanks Sasha Grace for your response.

I took the opportunity of looking at your 'My Project Build Log'  where there are many posts about the OBDEleven  reader which are very helpful to me.

The only problem  is in Australia the OBDEleven costs A$198 whereas the BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDII Scan Tool can be bought for A$125.

Everything for cars in Australia is very expensive as the retailers mark the prices up so much.   Over the years I have bought many car parts from the UK at a

fraction of the Australian price and it is much cheaper even with having to pay for freight.   Of course I would have the option of buying a reader in the UK

which is worth considering.

I am interested in your  Skoda RS.   My Skoda has the smaller lower performance 1.8 liter turbo charged motor.  The performance is perfectly adequate but

nothing like my previous car which was an 2002 Audi All Road with 2.7 Liter V6 with twin turbos.  Every time I drove that car it would put a smile on my face

whereas the Skoda Octavia Scout is bland by comparison.     Another car that interests me is the Audi S4 with the three liter V6 with super charger.   So expensive

though and not available in a wagon.

Don't buy it from a retailer in Oz. Buy it direct from their own website, pay for it in the best exchange rate to AUD, whether that's GBP, Euro, USD.

Or if you know someone or have family in the UK or EU, get them to buy it and send it to you as a "Xmas/Birthday Gift".

Father Christmas is going to invest in scan tool for my 2019 Octavia 1.5 TSI with the intention of making some long coding changes .

I would be most grateful if someone could advise me exactly what I need to buy in terms of tool , dongle etc .

Many thanks in anticipation .

Regards
