Kodiaq RS on order, well excited!!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New to the forum, new to Skoda, long term VAG.

I've been an Audi fan for many years working my way through A3s, A4s and most recently two A6 Avants. This pattern has followed my life stages ... single, married, young family of 1.

The next stage ... young family of 2 boys ... which has led me to the SUV market. Q5 ... too small and a bit dated, Q7 ... depreciation to high, which was a similar story for the Merc GLS, GLE, Volvo XC60 and XC90. Jaguar F Face was a contender but had my doubts over build quality and reliability, which also put me off the majority of other car brands.

With seemingly nowhere left to look I stumbled across an vlog about the Kodiaq.

But it was a Skoda. My experience of Skoda had been of uninspiring design built out of left over VAG parts from old models. But this Kodiaq was ... different. Looking a bit deeper I found the RS and it started to tick most if not all my boxes. A couple of test drives later and some hard negotiating and my Kodiaq RS with some great bells and whistles is on order. Build week 2020#6. ETA early March.

Proper excited.

The pic attached is one that is a close match to what I've ordered (sportline, not RS). Looking forward to seeing where my Skoda journey takes me both in the real world and the virtual one as part of this community.

Only 80 days, 6 hours and 5 minutes (at time of writing) to go ....
