Upgrading infotainment systen

Featured Replies

I am looking at upgrading the infotainment system in my Mark 3 Octavia.

There are so many different varients out there, I don't know what I have, however I have attached an image.

Would someone be able to advise and also inform me of what I could go for as an upgrade. I would only be looking at changing the dashboard part of it and would only want a plug and play screen, nothing too taxing to sort.

You might be better to post on the Octavia forum board where other Octavia users may be able to help rather than posting on the Superb forum board.

That looks like a Superb dash, the Octy dash is different. Either way what do you want from this upgrade? The screen is just a screen so will just display what the radio commands. If you want extra features you will need to upgrade the radio unit. As for the screen, the upgrades that are plug and play are the 8 inch screens, either the 3V0919606 Columbus display with soft keys so would be like your current screen but with 8 inch display or the 3V0919605D Amundsen glass display. Either way these will both have a NAV button and either a Traffic or App button, neither of which will work as the radio doesn’t have the capability for that. If you want the 3V0919606D 9.2 inch display then you’ll need a MIB2.5 Columbus radio unit to match.
