sunroof issue

Featured Replies

got an annoying issue with the panoramic roof on my estate.

if just popping it open on the tilt function it will not close again, it tries to but its like it gets stuck and pops open again. if i open it on the slide the close it will shut ok.

ive had a quick look and cnat see anything obviously wrong, is there a common issue to check?

Already tried reset the roofs base setting?

Indeed yes. No improvement. I figure It's to do with the anti trap

Had a similar issue, turned out to be wind deflector. It was broken from the side diagonally. Had it fixed with a tiny screw drilled into it and a year later still works fine :)

Could you post a photo where it broke, what angle you drilled the screw?

think my issue is a faulty switch , i am no longer able to operate the tilt open on the switch, feels like the switch is jammed and does not operate like it used to. waiting for a new switch to be delivered from poland before i can try though

Hi - I had a similar issue. Rotary switch faulty. Then motor failed....easy fix. Replaced both with used items off Fleabay.

sadly its not the switch. still having issues closing the roof, feels like it the force limiter.

how does the force limiter work, is it motor current based?

i have had to manually wind close the roof and its rather stiff to do, i suspect this is the root cause of the issue but dont know how to go about resolving.
