I also went to the french garage but i had no good news. They said that they checked everything : the camera was correctly wired and that there was no software update to TSR for now.

Can you give me the coordinates of your garage so i can put theme in relation with mine. Cause they are seeking for any way to solve my problem.  Thank you

I am not sure for Switzrland or Kamiq - but suspect its the same as Karoq and Kodiaq where you needed to have paid extra.

 

However - normally they can be activated by VCDS or coding with OBD11 or similar.

 

We also do not have the speed warning options when above limit (just limit sign) in our UK Nav on Kodiaq or Karoq.

I assumed it was stored information. The speed limit sign overlays other signs so they can't be read.

 

I do have the speed limit warning set because the car is so quiet - compared to previous vehicles and my current MGF - that it is so easy to go over.

The update was done tonight and it works ! Yeah.

 

I will take some picture of my Amundsen Software versions tomorrow.

 

I can provide you with the garage details in a private message (they speak french and german)

So Skoda should update all EU countries including UK. so hopefully should get a recall

Hi everyone. Thanks to this topic and the clues that gave me Chli (by the way, thanks a lot for all the help you provided to me, dude) i finally gor my TSR fixed. It was not an update issue in my case though, but a hard reset of the entire TSR software (it seems the warehouse in Czechia didn't do it the right way).

Anyway i can drive now better and safer (lol)😅🤣.

Just to confirm, is the speed sign that is shown on the Amundsen (and virtual cockpit) picked up the by the cars camera or is it just using what's coded into the GPS?

Hi.

Based on my short experience, I think it uses both. Giving the priority to the camera if it detects a sign. When no sign is encountered the map takes the relay.

After a few weeks that's my feeling also.

In addition at the moment (I have to visit my garage), I have issues with the internal GPS, I think my antenna is bust or something like that cause it drifts 100km away from my current position and sometimes it comes back and then it drifts again.... and when it's drifting the speed limit is all over the place unless there is a road sign and then it shows for a while the right speed.

 

So for me it's using both and putting a big "weight" when a fresh speed signs is recognised.

I have just read this thread and am very interested, as I had asked my dealer about this (evidenced by photo in manual, etc. ) about 4 months ago, and told it was not possible.    Has anybody in the UK managed to get this done by their dealer yet?

Driving around london i can confirm it definitely gives priority to signs it scans. In london this can often be wrong because the main road will have say 30mph limit but every side road is 20mph so as you go past it picks up the 20mph sign often. Just irritates drivers behind because im doing less speed through the cameras as stuff if i don't know the road i always go by the lower number on the dash.

I don't know HOW to activate it but when I purchased the car it was supposed to be enabled (it was on the list of options), the user manual had screen captures showing the feature. The Skoda website advertised it but it was not available in the car's menu. I complained to my Garage, they complained to the Swiss official import company, who complained to Skoda headquarter and they received a procedure to follow to "activate" it.

That's all I have. But the first thing you should check is if you're supposed to have it (do you have the option?).

Spoke to My seller. He told me to email to skoda.
