Hi everyone. I recently bought a current Skoda emblem for my fabia MK2 vrs as I realised that they did do them with the new logo at the end of the run. so it wouldn't look too out of place. Long story short the ones I bought look great but only the rear one fits. The plastic dots or 'nipples' for want of a better word don't fit on the front and are too raised to make the 3m tape stick. 

Has anyone experience of Changing from a old to new emblem and how best to sort it. Ie can i melt the plastic off or should i buy a different emblem

Chop the plastic pins off, make sure the base is completely clean, and stick it on. 

I bought a new style emblem from ebay for a couple of quid and painted it black myself, The fitment was horrible...,had to use a heat gun and bend the badge to suit the curve/contour of the bonnet.

thanks both , i've ended up using a solering iron and a pair of plyers to chop the pins off and hopefully it will fit okay when i fit it later, Mick martin Phwoar she's a beaut

So managed to get it sorted with a soldering iron and pair of players. Here's the finished result
