Hi All,

I'm after some software that will allow me to Direct Copy Audio CD's instead of the being converted to bloody WMA files!! Also want it to convert existing MP3 and WMA files to real audio that can be played on a normal CD player!

Does such a thing exist??? If there are several which is the best??

Cheers

Steve

Nero?

You can download a demo version of Nero from their site.

and dependant on how you fell about these things....

If you put 'nero' into google, you will find plenty of sites giving you passwords/codes to make the demo version a fully working piece of software.

Or you can pay via the nero site, as it's cheeper than in the shops.

I don't have any...Put CD into Drive and it automatically copies it as WMA files! , My C has a MP3/WMA Headunit in it but the vRS Dunt, Just want something to make up proper Audio CD's so I don't have to change` Headunits

As I said ..Nero. I use Nero 7 to burn cd,s from MP3 format,in MP3 format as well as heaps of other things. It is an excellent piece of software, and worth its money I reckon.

If you want to rip a cd, try Audiograbber. Its free now, you just need to get the extra Lame codec to allow full bitrate ripping up to 320. I use it to rip audio cd,s to hard-drive.

Yep Nero will do all you need and more. Easily the best cd burning software on the market. It's slowly getting bloated with things you dont need, but all in all you wont find better.

Things like roxio easy cd creator are poo in comparision.

www.ahead.de is nero's homepage.

Do you have Window Media Player? If yes, you can burn CD's from that... You may need to adjust the settings, burn AUDIO CD's not DATA CD's, this will then convert your mp3's or wma's to pulse code modulation or PCM, this is what is required for your everyday CD player...

Or download itunes, it's a much easier library to use, and very easy to burn CD's in all formats....

Nero is specialist burning software, itunes is an apple shop with a media player tacked on and then a cd audio burner tacked onto that also if you dont have an ipod you still end up with the ipod helper service running on your machine.

sorry not having a go, just itunes is bloatware at its best.

i was just about to suggest using windows media player :D

Sounds like your havin a go to me ;)

Your right Nero is specialist burning software, 99% of which the average joe wouldn't use... it costs money, whereas wmp or itunes are free! These are very easy to use as well...

itunes didn't even have the apple store attached to it until a few revisions ago... and have made it VERY easy to download music and legally!

Big whoop it has a helper for the ipod installed, it's hardly going to make your computer fall over is it!

I believe it only works with Window Media Player 9...

Chris

You can eliminate the gap using iTunes (it's in the settings somewhere)

A good music format converter is DB PowerAmp. It converts any format to owt you want and you can edit the ID tags as well. It aint much good for burnin though.

if you look on Download.com there arre some good burners for nowt.
