Can you clarify which engine the car has? Your profile says 1.9tdi, but I think it must be 1.6 or 2.0?

Engine code would be helpful, as wiring diagrams are organised by engine code.

Has the battery been coded to the vehicle?

Did the Octavia 3 ever come with a 1.9TDI? I thought VAG had switched over to the 2.0TDI ....

It didn't.

Since 2011 no 1.9 in Octavia (O2 FL in that time).

That's what I thought...

Actually 1.9 TDI switched to 1.6, 105 HP.

2.0 PD 140 switched to 2.0 CR 140.

O3 later received 10HP more in 2.0 CR.

I checked wiring diagrams for both 1.6 and 2.0 CR engines, and they actually have the same thin blue wire (LIN data communication) coming from a connector at the alternator to pin 1 of an 8-way connector in the front left (uk nearside) of the engine bay.

If the car was correctly adapted to the new battery, this is where I'd start to look for the problem, ensuring this wire is intact (has continuity), and the connector pins at both ends are corrosion-free.
