1.4TSi Hybrid. What rear suspension?

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen information on what rear suspension is fitted to the 1.4TSi Hybrid?

A Phev version would interest me but not if it came with torsion beam.

You would hope this is considered by Skoda (& agreed by VW) as one of the 'More powerful versions' & gets Multilink.

Note that on the 1st Vid of the Plug in Hybrid Passat GTE and she says 7 Speed Dual Clutch Gearbox.

Is What Car correct,  or this video, is the 1.4 TSI Plug in with a 6 speed DSG ?   There is a gearbox just for the Hybrids.

For transverse hybrids VAG list a DQ200e 7 speed and a DQ400e 6 speed.

So I suspect it depends on output?

Thanks.

I might have expected the DQ200e 7 speed to be going with the Light Hybrids and not Plug ins with the more power.

A tester that did some research unlike The female racing driver / TV Presenter / Motoring Journalist / Entrepreneur.

I have my Skoda Octavia IV Plus (Style/SEL depending on countries) on order - Planned production week 50.

So much hope the Corona won't shut down Skoda factory and delay production, as price will be raised by 8K Euro 2021 due to taxes in Denmark :(

After some research I have found that the Hybrids both Coupe and Stationcar comes with multilink suspension.

See line 7 at this link (sorry it is in Danish, however I am sure you'll be able to translate : )

 - I actually think the split of the rea axle is set at 150+PS engines, so that 150PS or more power full engines comes with the Multilink rear suspension, less powerful engines will not have the multilink.

The hybrid cars is set by combined max output at 204/245PS power, which therefor is offered with the multilink.
