Clutch bleeding procedure

Featured Replies

Replaced my clutch bleed valve on my vrs and bleeded it with ezibleed system by using the air out of the car tyre. Took me a few goes to get a decent clutch peddle tried it with the system on and bleed nipple open and pumped the clutch peddle few times didn’t really work so tried with peddle fully up and bleed nipple open and system on and started getting there while doing that ever few mins i closed nipple and turned system of and pumped peddle then re do again. Got to stage I thought peddle felt normal and rebuilt and took for test drive all was gd biting point felt like it was before. Came back and re bleeded system just piece of mind had no air bubbles coming out. But My dad took the car out today and said the biting point is abit grabby so he got me thinking and second guessing my work lol. Anyone else have certain way of doing it just in case it isn’t right but feels dead on to me lol ur guys input would be much appreciated thanks

If it feels solid and consistent then there's no air in it and nothing else to do, tell your old man to get lost and take his negative vibes with him!

No wonder it's grabby then.

I just pump it a few times, stick a bar on the pedal to hold it down. Go round the front, put a bit of hose on to a pot to catch the fluid and open the valve. If there's a lot of air comes out, get someone to pump the pedal a few times while it's open.

I thought they have to be pressure bled

Seems to work whenever I've done it.
