Retro fit Virtual cockpit

Featured Replies

Hi

Do any 1 no can the virtual cockpit be fitted by the dealer?? and if yes how much please

Hi!

Retrofitting a virtual cockpit is definitely a possibility. I’ve had mine replaced only last week and am really happy I did.

I don’t know whether a dealer will be willing to touch it, I went to a German guy known for doing the retrofit.

All in all, it was about 2000€ in total for the retrofit in my Superb.

This includes the dashboard module, two new fiber optic cables which need to be run behind the infotainment display to the computer in the glove compartiment, the install, and coding.

It’s not a simple replacement, quite a bit of coding will be required, so make sure you get that done by someone who knows what he/she is doing VERY well.

I think  @SashaGrace    has had VC retrofitted to her Octy so she might be able to help you with contacts, prices etc. in the UK

I did mine myself but there are one or two people in the UK who can help now. Cartechnics in London are good, I speak with the owner and he definitely knows what he’s doing.

I can agree with that statement - Tyrone who runs Cartechnics in London are extremely good and knowledgeable knows he’s stuff.
