Vcds for epb?

Featured Replies

Hello this is my first time posting here, I’ve recently bought a superb mk3, and this is the first car I’ve had with an EPB.

so my question is, what is the best software to wind back the brakes when I need to change them, would also like Diagnostic.

i have Delphi but it doesn’t do the superb mk3.

So is vcds my best option, if so where do I buy it, obviously I would prefer not to buy it from Ross Tech at £300.

many thanks,

I have first hand experience (and a bitter one) when I say this:- buy a geniune one............................

It's cheaper in the long run. That's all I'm saying.

Ok, maybe an Autel ds808 would be a better bet then, at least it could be used on other cars, they’re £300?

Sorry I meant Autel 808 pro not DS.

The 3 car version is £225 iirc and does a whole lot more than just winding back the brakes!

There are plenty of videos out there that show you how you can get round not having a scan tool to wind in your EPB. Obviously they are not official methods and some are not really ideal but they seem to work for people.

The Carista App can put the electric parking brake into service mode, but costs £8.99 for a week's use or £35 (approx) for a year.
