No 12v socket in Boot

Featured Replies

Hi had my new Scala a week now.

There is no 12v socket in the boot space just a blank where it should be.

On the Skoda UK spec sheet it lists it as standard on SE and SEL models

Further down the list it is saying it is an extra what is correct?

Would members please advise if your car has a socket please before I tackle the dealer

Just checked my SE and yes it has the 12v socket in the boot.

If they've deleted it since launch that's the reverse of what happened with the Rapid. That was launched in poverty specs and within 6 months was getting upgrades to the standard spec, really annoying the launch customers

In the Netherlands, 12V socket was standard for the Sport Business trim (similar to SE, with sporty accents) and upwards. From December 1st, this option has been removed totally. It is not standard and is also not an option anymore..

I ordered mine in November when it was still standard. It got delivered December 23 without the 12V socket, because it was build in December. That was a pity.

In Bulgaria, this option currently is not listed anywhere . My car has this socket, but it was built late November.

My SE has it, UK car bought last September

Sounds like more Skoda cost cutting.

The wire is probably still there, if so it wont be hard to fit the socket.

Tell the dealer that you were expecting the socket and see what they say. If you've just spent lots of money with them, and they want the service work, they ought to be reasonable.

Took delivery of my Skoda Scala SEL 3 weeks ago and there is no 12v socket in the boot.

I mentioned this to the dealer and he was surprised and said similar models in the showroom did have a 12v socket.

He said if I brought it in they would have a look to see if it could be fitted retrospectively.

Seems a bit weird, looking at specs, I've got an SEL picked up last Monday. Can someone confirm a couple of things, no draws under seats, no little pocket on side of seats, and net in front centre console, all seem to be not present am I missing something?? Also I'll have a cheak to see the 12v also it mentions removable torch which I I don't think I have

Additional information

The removable torch is in Kamiq, not in Scala

My car (early production BG model) has the drawers and the pocket.

The current BG spec list is a little bit different from mine. This game of options is annoying. When i bought the car, the package included black mirror covers. When the car arrived, no black mirror covers. When i pointed the difference to the dealer, they told me that this option has been removed but Skoda failed to notify them. Fortunately the dealer changed the mirror covers with no hesitation (and now i have one pair extra :))

My SE, which was delivered in December, has the boxes under the seats and the seat pockets.

Yeah, so would have thought a Feb SEL would have?? Might try dealer and might try Skoda see what they say if spec change or not

Received my SE L yesterday (at last).  Can confirm that there is no 12v socket in the boot (just a blanking plug), no under seat storage, and no seat side pockets.  I'm not fussed about any of them, but it does seem a bit odd to delete equipment that used to be standard even on the SE trim from the SE L.  I did hear something that internal VW politics mean Skoda are cutting back on standard equipment - giving too much for too little versus group rivals.  Could be a load of rubbish of course!

Hi,

I've got my SCALA 'Style' (1.0 TSI 115HP) a few weeks ago, manufactured Feb 2020.

In the cabin; no under-seat storage and no side pockets on the front seats.

In the boot; no 12 Volt socket and no top tether hooks.

In Israel, 'Style' trim level comes with the virtual cockpit and Climatronic environmental control system.

Additional TSI trim levels are 'Ambition' (1.0 115HP), which is the basic trim level, and 'Sport' (1.5 150HP).

I think boot socket is now in the "Simply Clever" pack:-

Simply clever pack - Scala

Pack Contents:
  • Storage boxes under front seats
  • 12V socket in luggage compartment
  • Door edge protectors
