Blimey another dieselgate! 😲

"The authorities are looking at Mitsubishi’s 1.6-liter and 2.2-liter 4-cylinder Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel engines and are asking drivers who acquired cars with the engines since 2014 to contact police."😲

"Police and prosecutors on Tuesday raided 10 sites across Germany.  Premises have been searched in Frankfurt, Hanover and Regensburg in Germany as part of the probe, the Frankfurt prosecutor's office said."    https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/mitsubishi-investigated-suspected-illegal-defeat-devices

I've always said that it wasn't just VAG that used cheat devices; they only did it to maintain competitive emission figures and since their technology isn't decades behind other car companies then they must have been cheating as well.

The head of VW USA was a VW Man. One of the family, worked for VW, then Mitshubishi   then back to VW and in the US intruducing Clean green TDI, s 2007-2010.  Then huffs off to run VOLVO as the CEO. Then off to GM Global.    Small world in car manufacturing and there are some that seemed to be there that were deaf, blind and either lost their tongues or maybe were whistle blowers.

PSA Group are now saying it does not know if the 1.6-liter diesel engines it supplied to Mitsubishi Motors between 2015 and 2018 are part of a probe in Germany. 😨 Sounds like a can of worms.

It was an odd one back when PSA were raided after they had taken other from Opel / Vauxhall who had not been raided.

Daimler Benz / Renault / Nissan / & VW licencing AdBlue / SCR technology.  Amazing how so much is a Central European thing.

They like to blame Japan but Suzuki were using engines from European Manufacturers and VW Bought into Suzuki to get the Mitsubishi & Fiat tech knowledge and Suzuki's.

The important thing to look at is the night before the VW Emissions Scandal broke Suzuki bought back their last shares from VW.

Did Toyota lend Suzuki the Billions required?

PSA / Toyota / Suzuki / Renault / Smart (Mercedes Benz) / Mitsubishi have Light Hybrids, or Plug in or Full EV.

VW group, VW / Audi have had some Plug in hybrids, a e-UP! & e-Golf with little range or sales and lots of spin for years on what was coming.

Eventually they nearly are there to mass produce.

Not so Vorsprung Durch Technik,  it was going to be TDI Hybrids that they were going to be big with.
