REMAP KINGS

Featured Replies

Has anybody used this firm for a remap?

Never even heard of them. Any more info?

Celtic tuning are the only ones I have ever been recommended, by people I knew.

The disclaimer puts me off.

I'm put off by all the illegal extras they offer too.

Had the remap done today by Remap Kings. Done on my drive. Done and dusted within an hour and I'm very pleased with the increase. It's a Quantum map. No increase in the insurance either. Further feedback re fuel consumption etc in a little while.

Any plans to have it put on a rolling road to see where the increases are? Just need a boot badge with HRH on it now.:D

@peter3197

Did your insurer just not consider the remap as a performance enhancement above a certain level or do they just not load a policy when you declare a re-map?

Can you say which insurer that is?

The insurer is LV and they told me that any remap or tuning box declared on my policy was no extra cost.

@shyVRS245

My Modified vehicles insurances cost less than on standard cars.

BUT,

NIP arrived this morning from last Friday. 82 in a 70.  So that is not the £200 & 6 points for twice in a fortnight i will save that back in fuel by sticking to speed limits for the next 3 years at least,  it will be the bump on each insurance policy.

Your fines will pay my insurance for the year.

I used LV for my Landlord Insurance this year and will give them a chance to get the business for both our cars come renewal time in early May.:thumbup:

I've used LV for 30 years plus, good service and a decent discount for CSMA membership, plus when I was working official use was free.

Did a little evaluation this morning. There is a definite kick in the pants just after 2000rpm which wasn't there before, which is just what was required. I didn't get the map to drive fast, just to give me a bit more leeway getting on to the A14 off the Desborough/Rothwell bypass, the ramp going eastbound is far too short and there is very little view of approaching traffic.
