I love my BBS Golf Anniversary Wheels...

Featured Replies

Personally I would've got it lowered first, then gone for some different wheels.

Nice tho'

Like them A LOT!!

Personally im not so keen, i just think the spines/spokes of the allows are a little too thin for my liking.

Never been a fan of BBS tho, so maybe im biased against from the start.

Sorry' date=' was only intended as a  anyway.

I didnt even move the car with the wheels on, let alone drive it, so you are probably right! Also, the tyres are too "tall" too.

Will be posting fresh pics later in the week when the new tyres are on!:thumbup:[/quote']

how are tyres too tall? they are round right?

any how if you want them to be "thinner" the gaps on the archers will get bigger..won't they?

Read the thread!!

as they are 225/40/18

These are as he bought them

215/35/18

These are his new tyres, hence less tall!! Wasnt hard that was it?

Diameter difference is 30 mm, so it will be 15 mm lower.

actually the difference is 14.75mm so the difference in diameter is 29.5mm

:P

just incase people don't know the tyre side wall ( the 40 of 225/40/18) is actually a percentage of the overall width so a 225/40/18 has a sidewall of 90mm and a 215/35/18 will have a side wall of 75.25mm :)

making the above difference.

tyresave calculator says a 4.5% difference between 225/40 R18 and 215/35 R18 - equating to a 29mm diameter difference.

Oddly enough there's only 0.66% difference between 215/40 R17 and 215/35 R18. So are 18" wheels now considered to use as long as you've got laggy band 215/35s fitted? :)

According to briskodas tyre size calculator the diameter difference is 29.5mm

Nicely edited to hide the error. ;)

Yep! :D But 7.5" wide MAX rims are needed too, these are quite rare in 18". ;)

Still prefer my rims, lighter too, bet the front of mine weighs 35% of yours..

cant wait to have a blast in it on those 18's though... see how much more rolling resistance you got =P
