Just need to know if i was given the right engine oil for my 51 octavia vrs today, its what the dealer sold me, its [ quantum synta synthetic blend motor oil sae 10w-40 vw 505.00 approved ] is it ok to use if not what is the right oil. cheers

skoda dealers use that oil if your on a 10000 mile service schedule.

oil is fine so dont worry but next service request 5w-40 fully synthetic oil which will cost a little more but better quality oil for those days you give that engine a work out!!!

cheers for the reply mate, dont suppose anybody knows what oils gsf car parts sell do you ,get a lot of stuff for my 205 gti off them really cheap and mostly oe parts as well.
