I have updated my sat nav to the 2018 update. My question is, I tow a caravan and satnav options only allow me too select a trailer. Not good enough for caravans, can I get a caravan upgrade. Thanks

Why update to an old version? Why not the 2020 update? Are the speed limits not the same for a caravan and a trailer?

Do you mean mapping that includes data on height restrictions? If so then AFAIK none of the VAG factory fit satnavs offer that special mapping.

 

As mentioned by rogerdyer the 2018 maps are not the most recent available. 2019/2020 maps are available from either the Skoda portal or the VW infotainment website.

its not speed limits its excess restrictions I did the up date in 2019 (got the date wrong)

I presume you mean access restrictions; if so then as said previous none of the VAG sat nav maps for cars include that information so you'll have to use an external sat nav with the special mapping.

Hello all, I have recently bought a 19 plate Octavia VRS MK3 hatchback. How do I go about checking when the satnav was last updated and how do I update it?

Then please post a picture of it - the update procedure and the files you need are different depending on whether it's an Amundsen or a Columbus.

 

Since it's a 19 plate we can at least assume it's not a MIB1 version of either!

had a look at the case the card came in and it says Amundsen on it
