Hi all,

Lots of useful posts on here about hardwiring a dashcam, but I’m struggling to find anything about the most convenient negative earth connection point.

I’ve routed my wires in the headlining and down the ‘A’ pillar to the internal fusebox on the driver’s side.

Where would be the easiest place to connect the negative earth spade clip?

Most of the screws appear to be into plastic.

Appreciate any assistance and apologies if I’ve missed this info in an existing post.

Cheers 👍🏻

I used a multimeter to find a grounded screw in that area and used it :)

Hi, langers2k.

Good thinking 👍🏻

I found a photo online which looks fairly good.

Might double check it with the meter, though.

Thanks for the reply.

If I remember rightly one of the screws or nuts in that dash side panel right by the fuse box has a good earth connection. That's what I used for mine

I've used a nut at the front of the fusebox. Probably the same one you're referring to.

Cheers, slow_nick 👍

Pretty sure theres a dash mounting there that would be useable as earth

I've gone for the one below that (with the bolt poking through) which was possible having only removed the fusebox cover.

Thanks for the pic, though 👍
