Hi i have put a k and n air filter on my skoda fabia mk2 64plate monte carlo, and i must of pulled a pipe out unsure of where it needs to go and a bit worried

I've never had a car with that engine, but from reading these VW Group forums, you have either just discovered a broken PCV valve, or accidentally broken your PCV valve's other end off, the missing end will still be in the grommet where it fits into around the top of the engine.

 

@Michael67, can you see the shiny oil wetted grommet with a hole in it on both @Filipelol's pictures, that will be where it was originally fitted into and where its broken off stub is.

Thanks i managed to find it, getting a new one tomorrow i think its been broke for some time tbh, dont know alot  about cars do you know if i can put the new valve on and then attatch a little vent filter like a small k and n filter to it

Yes you can but it would be the same thing as attaching it to the intake pipe, but you can use the k&n one as long as you plug the hose that connects to the intake.

Thanks, i feel that if its not connected straight to the intake there will be less chance of it getting broken again
