Hi folks just wondered I have a 67plate Octavia  and cant seem to find a rear seat USB or 12v power point  is there only the front seat and boot area ?

 

As standard, yes. That’s all there is. Could maybe retrofit the rear USB points. They fit into the centre console under the air vents I believe. 

Cheers  I thought I was losing it as I couldn't find them 😂

Yes, unless the original purchaser specified the option of rear seat USBs.

To retrofit USB’s you will need 

 

5Q0035726L USB hub

5E0857289F rear trim (9B9 if it’s black)

5E0857346A USB holder (9B9 if it’s black)

5E0863229 button blank left

5E0863230 button blank right

5E0863284D storage compartment (you may already have this in the car)

 

You will need to make (or buy from Kufatec) a wiring loom for the USB hub and you are done. Total cost about £100, less if you can get the bits cheaper.

Did you ever fit this?

 

I bought the list, besides the storage compartment as my car "had it already".

However, there is somekind of difference between the existing rear trim frame my car has and the new frame 5E0857289F, since i cannot get the storage compartment to fit into it.

It seems like its missing 1cm of clearence. My storagebox however is a 5e0 863 284B and not D. Does anyone know if there is a physical difference on these two parts, and not just some color thing?

B vs D is a revision, not a colour difference. 7zap isn't up-to-date for facelift cars so can't help much, but 2016 cars have Ashtray as B and stowage compartment as D iterations.

alright, maybe storwage compartment might be at bit smaller compared to the ashtray.

 

im picking up a D version later today from the dealer - hopefully it fits. Ill update when i know more.

I can now safely confirm that the D revision fits into the reartrim, where as the B revision i orignally had installed did not because of the minor size difference. I did not know that was a small light inside (will see if my car has that when i install it into it - i assume so since i have footwell lightning incl. ambient door panels.
