Been looking on google earth the other day. Sports my ex car in it. Is there any way of finding out where it is at all ? 
Ive looked on the dvla web site but I can’t remember the link for the bit to trace the car.

You can check the MOT status and history  or check wither it's if the car is taxed or not, but wasn't aware you could trace it. You can see which MOT station checked the car by entering the VIN.

I’ve been using the mot check on the government web site. I know the mot has run out. I think the tax has also expired as well. 

Pretty sure the DVLA will give you the name and address of the present keeper, you just need to pay the admin charge.

It's how private car parking companies get your details to fine you.  

 

I remember reading years ago it was about a fiver.
