Seats

Hello everyone,

I Hope all you are doing well.

A have an Octavia from 2015. 1.6 cr tdi with manual seats. I find them a bit uncomfortable when I drive longer distances. I was thinking maybe I should exchange the front seats. I would be interested in vRS seats, but I could not find any.. Is there anyone who has a tip, that which seats from the VW concern are suitable to the Octavia and are more comfortable than the basic ones?

Thanks in advance.

Audi A3 seats are suitable probably. Comfortable is subjective.

I am also interested in this. All of us with elegance/style, seats are uncomfortable. Is there anyone who knows a little more? I found the alcantara seats, but the seller overpriced them and there is no way to find the vRS seats ...

Yep I had an Elegance before my current LE 245vRS & overpriced or not the electric, memory, alcantara seats are absolutely, Fn fantastic. First journey in mine took 6-1/2 hours & other than bored I felt fine when I got out at the end of that journey.

They are not electric, just alcantara, and the seller wants 500EUR for them. Used ones...

I have an 2015 Elegance with manual leather/alcantara seats and have no problem with them on long journeys despite having a lower back injury since 1999 which causes 24/7 sciatica in my left leg.

Would even go so far as to say the seats are no worse than the electric leather comfort seats in my previous Audi RS4 - but comfort is subjective and personal

I had a 2013 Elegance Estate and liked the seats in them, current car is an SE Tech Estate and has more basic seats but I'd have to say they seem like much the same seats just with a different fabric on them. I can't feel any real difference in comfort between them to be honest and the new car has heated seats which make all the difference!

I don't notice the seats in my SE even after 7 hours.  Comfort is personal.

My only issue with all Skoda seats is the lack of extendable leg support.

I had that on my previous car which I owned for 10 years, never used it in anger, tried it once and found it incredibly uncomfortable as it dug into the back of my knees.

I had it on a previous car, and it reduced the load on my back so much, but was adjustable in steps to effectively extend the seat base.

horses for courses, as I am pretty tall, but better to have the ergo seats and not need them than need the adjustment and not have it.

i would happily pay a reasonable amount to be able to upgrade the drivers or front seats.  Sadly not an option in the U.K. market (it is elsewhere)

My heated leather (Elegance) are starting to give way after 124000 mls but maybe it`s because i`m a big fat 😟🙁🙄😮🙂😀.

I have a full vRS seat set (including handbrake gaitor with both auto and manual gearsticks/gaitors) in black with silver thread. It came from my 2015 vRS and is in excllent condition -  I swapped out for a leather interior last year. I've haven't got round to putting it on eBay - this thread reminded me!

If anyone is interested then PM me. Even better if you want to pick up rather than ship (it fits on a standard pallet), I'm based in Fife.

That's a shame, it's the very small adjustments allowed by the 4 way lumbar support that I find so helpful with the electric seats.

These seats were fitted as standard to the pfl 230vRS (in leather) or to the fl LE 245vRS & current 245vRS Challenge, they were an optional extra on other models but, pfl's are in leather with the fl in Alcantara.

Above info is for the UK models, not sure which country your from as your profile doesn't show it. You might wanna take a look around some of the Mk7 golf forums as IIRC the front seats are a direct swap

I couldn't agree more, but I thought it's Octavia rather than Skoda that's the problem. For me, it's because the front of the std seats are curved - it's certainly not the case with the Karoq - thigh support is fine.

I wouldn't have bought an Octavia if it were not for the fact mine came with electric seats which not only means you can tip the seat base to give better thigh support, that you can also fine tune the lumbar vertically as well as horizonally. I find the manual lumber adjustment next to useless.

If it's too complicated for electric seats then I'd be looking for seats from vRS or if they fit, from Karoq. Have you tried vehicle dismantlers?

That said, I'd just change my car to one with comfortable seats rather than buy them.

I think the upright seating position of the suv helped.

I am from Bosnia, so market for parts is small :)

As I understand you, all of MK7 Golf seats are direct swap? It is a lott easyer to find parts for Golf in my country than for Octavia.
