When should the timing belt & water pump be replaced

I am thinking of buy a skoda superb 2 1.9  tdi with 78k on the clock fsh 09 plate belt was done 2017 so just over 3 years?i have never let a timing belt go further than 3 years of 60k miles whats the official interval 

4 years.

Well..... For the same engine run in different but very different countries Skoda quote different mileage and time intervals. This is for a 2.0 l TDI.

UK: 140,000 miles or 5 Years

Australia: 107 000 Km or 7 years

Germany: 210 000 Km and no time limit.

 

The old 1.9 Tdi was 4 years.

Think for the 1.9 at the time it was 40k miles or 4 years whichever is soonest
