2015 Octavia vrs. A few questions

Featured Replies

Hi all, im new to the fourm. Im currently in the process or looking to buy this 2015 Octavia vrs. Its advertised as being black pack but as fair as im aware the mirrors should be black and so the rear windows should be tinted to. Can anyone advise me on this.

Here's a link to the car.

Its a UK car that was imported to Ireland.

not sure on the tinted rear windows but the black pack included mirrors too. its likely that someone has changed the grille surround themselves i know i did. i wanted the black grille but not the mirrors or roof rails on my estate

In the UK, I think " Black Pack Plus " gets the Sunset glass from the B pillar backwards and the rear screen,

50k miles on a TDI, I'd be happier if it had a replacement water pump & cambelt

I think that's done. But I'll check the service records when I get it

Is there any way of getting the full original spec sheet from Skoda for the car?

That's almost identical to my 2014 model, although mine is petrol. I have looked at the advert, and I can't see anywhere where it says it has the black pack? Forgive me if I am being thick and I have missed it!

Anyway, mine has the black pack and yes, it features the black grille, black mirror covers and tinted glass. Looking at the one in the advert, body coloured mirrors would suggest it does not have the black pack...

Ya got in contact with previous owner, the mirrors were replaced on both sides due to an MOT advisery. One of them got damaged so a previous owner replaced both. They were originally black.

So, loving the car so far. So I have a few stupid questions, can the fake engine noise be turned off? Are the pedals adjustable? And is there any way to get the usb connection to recognise my iPod classic?

The sound actuator can be reduced or turned off with VCDS or OBD Eleven, if you have a member with them local they may be willing to do it for you. My usb recognises my iPod classic, it may depend on what radio you have I have the Columbus unit

Cheers for that. How do I find out what head unit I have?

If you have sat nav it will be the Amundsen or Columbus, if no sat nav it will be the bolero unit. The Columbus has a DVD drive and 2 SD card slots in the glovebox, The others just have 2 SD card slots if I'm remembering right

A 2015 registered car could have either MIB1 or MIB2 infotainment systems depending on date of manufacture, a MIB1 Amundsen has a CD drive as well as 2 SD card slots (this is what I have).

There should be a sticky label under the boot liner & on it printed a set of codes, these are its build spec. There is a vag build spec decoder online, google it
