Inoperative Remote Control

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Sorry for my bad English.

My car 2001 Fabia MK1 1.4 16v AUB 6Y2

Remote controls do not work. No immobilizer problem. The batteries are also new. The red led on the door flashes when you lock the doors manually. VCDS codes are as follows:

No expert, but I'd be looking to see if remote is sending. HOW ? Simple-  aim remote at phone camera and look for the Infra red(IR) ( will be seen as WHITE light on camera) flash on camera. To check if camera sees this ,you can also use any REMOTE control ( TV/ Set top box/VCR ) device to ensure that camera sees the IR FLASH. As a nice addition, most mobile phone cameras will also see any operational beams from Average speed cameras.

After that , it's down to those that have /understand remotes as my car relies on me unlocking doors.

Denetleyici Kızılötesi olmadığından bu yöntem geçerli değildir. Uzaktan kumanda radyo sinyali ile çalışır.
Teşekkür ederim.

This method is not valid because the controller is not Infrared. Remote Control works with radio signal.
Thank you.

What version of VCDS are you using to do the scan? It has picked up errors at address 09 for things I wouldn't expect your car to have - G85 and J492 - but hasn't scanned the module that I would expect to be relevant to Remote central locking, Address 46: Central Convenience, (unless you missed that part from what you've posted?)

Maybe there's a fuse blown so it couldn't 'see' that module?

VCDS version 19.6.1
Address 46 or 35 does not appear.
I access the settings related to the lock from a different address. (I couldn't remember now, I think Address: 09 Channel: It was 021.)
2 keys appear in the immobilizer area. Pressing the TEST button says "ERROR". "ERROR" when trying to make the number of keys "3"
If there is a fuse of module 46 or 35, where is it?

Key 2 button
Button 1: LOCK
Button 2: UNLOCK
There is no led in the switch.
Address: 09 (6Q1 937 049) and Address: 46 are the same comfort module? The VCDS I have only sees Address: 09.

Thanks for your help. I will check the socket connections on the weekend.
"09: Cent.Elect. Coding: 09362" is it correct?
+00001 = Trailer Hitch installed
+00002 = Trunk Lid Remote Unlocking installed
+00004 = Electric Load Management active
+00008 = Interior Light Control
+00016 = 4-door Chassis
+00032 = Heated Front Seats installed
+00064 = Heated Front Windshield installed
+00128 = Heated Mirrors installed
+00256 = Headlight Washers installed
+00512 = Rain Sensor installed
+01024 = Trunk Lid Remote Unlocking impulse driven
+08192 = Rear Windshield Wiper with Comfort Function installed
+16384 = Electric Fuel Pump Releay installed
Should I code as 16384 + 8192 + 1024 + 128 + 16 + 8 = 25752?

Not sure. I don't know what the difference is between 00002 and 01024, and I think maybe 16384 refers to the fuel feed relay (activated by opening driver's door) which I don't think your car will have.  The fuel pump relay (J17) is fitted to all cars so I can't see why that would be a selectable option.

I will not change. You are right. The interior lights are on when the driver's door is opened. When the ignition is switched on with the key, the fuel pump runs for 5 seconds.

Is it possible that your car has central locking but not remote central locking fitted?

Has remote locking ever worked or are you trying to enable it?

There was a remote control and it was working. Then he stopped working intermittently. And the remote control is completely dead.

Sure it's a genuine remote control and not a generic? If so, on a left hand drive the control unit is above the acceleration pedal, as Wino said. When mine was dead also the interior lights were dead (lhd, too)!

Both remote controls are original. I will check the control unit at the weekend.

Hi, have similar problems on another VAG group car so interested to see how this. is resolved.

To help connect to the central convenience  control  module with VCDS try disconnecting the car battery then reconnecting to power cycle the module. This worked on a VW polo where  VCDS shows 'no response from the conttroller' .

If you are able to connect to the Central convenience module with VCDS after the power cycle it might be worth following the instructions for pairing the remote key fobs as per item 9.4 in this post

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do-yourself/169586-vw-polo-diy-upgrading-bcm-body-control-module.html

i will try this  method next week as it’s different to that described on the Ross Tech website. Let me know how you get on.

I removed the battery. I waited for 30 minutes. Then I connect it again. The remote control did not work again. I was connected to the car with VCDS. Failed to login to module 46 (Central convenience). I gave up.😡😢
