will 70% isopropyl alchohol damage the leather seats?

Featured Replies

if I spray it to disinfect it? I was also thinking of buying a waterproof seat cover, but I'm not sure if the fabric will damage the leather underneath.

reason for asking is because vehicle is being used as taxi and now we have coronavirus in the UK.

If someone gets in your taxi with coronavirus, you will catch it probably through the air. I just accept that I will catch coronavirus. 97% chance that I will live...apparently.

It’s going to have a major impact on the taxi business for sure.

Hopefully you don’t live in Leicester and @shyVRS245 doesn’t need a taxi in the near future as he’s already got it! he has man flu! 🤧

I wouldn't put an alcohol solution like that on leather, no.

All taxi's, buses and trains are safe from Mr and Mrs shy as we don't do public transport (too many nutters carrying knives).

Get yourself a packet of Flash wipes if you are worried. Used them on leather seats before with no issues.

I’ve recently had to clean a damp mouldy interior and used diluted Milton on the seats, worked wonders to be fair.

try and use the strongest mix possible and use a test area, smells clinical which may be comforting to customers, IPA might make passengers a bit giddy and its probably not going to do the coating on the leather any good.
