Any recomendations for a VCDS cable, or similar, to play around with?

 

Will probably only use it a handful of times, so don't want to spend a fortune.

Your car needs the latest HEX-V2 which unfortunately starts at £225 for a 3 VIN version.

Cloned cables which Briskoda does not allow the discussion of, can potentially end up causing major problems.

Why not check out eBay for someone selling an unused cable but be extra wary of the description. Don’t think that an unlimited VIN cable is necessarily the best as it will probably be one of the older ones.

May be you can find a second hand one on ebay or any free ads website. But in this case, be very quick to make your decision, they are sold very quickly...

I've found one 2-3 years ago this way, but I've missed 2 or 3 'used' version before the one I've got.

Not, since the VCDS SW update is free, you can resell it at almost the same price I think...
