Hello, can anyone tell me how to replace the side light bulbs?

 

I part removed the wheel arch cover to get better access from below, and can just get fingertips onto the bulb holder but it won't budge.

 

Does it twist or pull out? Am I missing something?

 Those look like the same as fitted on my 58 plate Greenline. On mine the bulb (501?) fits in a push fit holder and to get them out I pulled on the wire. It is a bravery thing getting them out without snapping the wire, and to re-fit I had to turn the sidelights on and view from the front of the car when I could see the light through the holders hole then try to get it to seat. Before pulling hard on the wire, you need to be sure it is the push fit type.

 This was without removing the liner, managed to change both sides using this method.

Clarification

Yeah, they need a firm pull but the best way I have found is to use pick tools, like you buy from car shops or eBay etc. There are usually say, four in a set, which are sort of screwdriver type handles with a varying set of picks on. I use one that is a right angle or even more, bent back, to go inside, pass the wiring and kind of "Hook" the bulb holder. Takes a few tries and gets easier with practice but the very first time the bulb holder is removed, it is VERY tight. When you re-fit, make sure its firmly lodged in but not so tight as to make removal a pita again!

 

All the above can quite easily be done from within the bonnet compartment so no real need to remove the wheel arch.
