Radio starting up

Featured Replies

Like some others who have Skodas, my radio has been coming on without me doing anything, when I turn it off it comes on again after about 37 seconds. It doesn't do this all the time but, when it has an episode, it does it continuously on the same drive and sometimes carries on when the car is switched off unattended, draining the battery. Yesterday it did it and I took it to the local dealer while it was still having an episode. The chief mechanic hardly looked at it, acknowledged it straight away and said it was a known problem which was normally fixed by a software update which takes about 45 minutes to load.

If your car is still in warranty, the fix is free.

If you have this problem just once, get your car booked before the warranty expires. Good luck!
