Dead Battery

Featured Replies

Fabia MKII 2009 owner here.

Went to turn over my car this morning since it's been a couple of weeks and I believe the battery is dead has everything cuts out when the ignition is turned.

I'm going to jump it and take it to a garage since the original battery is still in there. My only problem is that I'm struggling to find the Pos and Neg terminals - any ideas?

Can you see the terminals but cant figure out what's what ?albeit an old battery but it should be clearly marked on the plastic.

There was a thread about changing the battery a few weeks ago with a couple of photos showing the polarity of the terminals.

The negative side will have a wire going to a bolt on the body or frame of the car and the positive will have all the fuses and multiple cables running to it.

The battery is in the engine bay.

My daughter's 2009 Fabia has a cover over the positive, which also has fat red wires going to the terminal, and it is marked with a plus sign. The negative or earth has a fat black wire attached, and is marked with a minus.
