mmm... my new Furby vRS...

Featured Replies

Joined the vRS club today on picking up my new Furby vRS. Veeryy nice. It's so tempting to put your foot down. Must...run..it..in..... :-)

Just noticed tonight (missed it in the excitement earlier) that the vRS batch on the back appears to be one of an Octy, it is too big for the Fabia writing above it. Is anyone else's like this or have they chuffed up?

Nice to hear your enjoying the car! :)

dont worry about the badge.. they are all like that (except the car in the skoda press pictures)

Also glad you like the car...welcome to the Skoda Elite ;)

At this rate there will be more Furby vRS drivers then Octys on here!!

a young couple were admiring my car this morning.. wrote down the briskoda web adress too :)

i also saw a Fabia Comfort with the body kit on that had conviniently parked next to mine.. the front bumper is totally different, the back bumper is the same, but i couldnt figure out what the point was if they didnt do a vRS-esque exhaust trim, as the gap for the exhaust pipe was empty... looked stupid!.. not to sure about the wheelarch extensions tho... look tacky.

We had an Audi-Sport.net rolling road day at AmD yesterday and I made sure my Fabia was parked outside the workshop. Generated interest thats for sure, alot of nice compliments.

:) :) :)

Its great isnt it.. the best part is the people who actually know plenty about cars (ie. that 230lb/ft is quite alot) respect the ability of the car... im taking mine out on a drive out with a load of mitsubishi EVOs in a couple of weeks.. i dont expect to keep up with them, but they were interested in my car at the last one :)

AND i showed a good few unbelivers @ the Tyred goat last week :D

Welcome to another Fab vRS owner.

I've now got 1,580 miles in the bag. Time to release more power, to see what it can do.

I have noticed that the silver being used on the bumper has a slight mis-match with the body colour - not sure whether this is due to the plastic / or coating.

I remember a thread on this forum showing a silver fabby vRS with the same mis-match.

:asthanos:

Really pleased with mine - far and away the fastest car I have ever owned... when I get out on the open road the sheer pace of the thing still amazes me :airjock:

My only slight gripe is the gearknob - seems my wedding ring is scratching the finish off the top... anyone else got this problem? I suppose I ought to take it back, but the missus would moan if I didn't wear it ;)

No sympathy.. its your own fault for getting married ;)

Its not usually the paint that is wrong. Its usually caused by the same paint being applied to plastic and metal means it takes on a slightly different shade.

Very few cars have spot on matching bumpers its just different colours look better or worse. I'm afriad silver is one of the worse colours to match.

...welcome to the Skoda Elite.
Lotus made the Elite, and 4X4 owners are the Briskoda elite. Period. grumpy.gif
4X4 owners are the Briskoda elite.

The fact you need to point it out just so proves that you're not... :p

Rob.

what about us 1.6 owners surely we are an elite as well?

What about the Vauxhall Elite... is that not Elite then?

Spoke to my dealer, he said the other one he had sold was the same. Looks a wee bit half arsed though in my opinion... the badge just looks *wrong*.

On another note I saw someone in what was not a Furby vRS but had a vRS badge on the back yesterday. Obviously a wannabe..

It's more elite than that It's a trim level on the Omega, Vectra and Astra.

Is elegance more elite?

If it has a vRS badge on it, you are one of the elite, regardless of what Mr Meldrew says :D

Especially as it is a furby as they are going to be rare for some time until skoda catches up with the demand round europe. The only vrs fabias i've seen outside a dealers were yesterday at duxford.

When I first read that, I wasn't sure if you were referring to taking back a) the car, B) the ring or c) the mussus :p

Are you on your way to Casualty right now to have the bullet removed from your foot, Jon?

And there was me thinking that the Elite amongst us drove the Superb... :smile-l:

However the youngest Miss Kentish thoroughly enjoyed the test drive I had of a Fab vRS, provoking big smiles and laughter, as well as the mandatory telling off for going just a little bit over the limit:rolleyes:

I think, I could live with one if I could afford to run a "toy "car, as well as the Superb.

As for the gear idicator thingy, if its like mine the insert should slide out(ie forward) as its only held in by a friction grip (my wife managed to slide ours out..dont ask how)
