Furby vRS Floor Mats?

Featured Replies

Has anybody else noticed that the mats supplied are for the continental version or is it just me?

Reason for this question is that I have queried this with the dealer and he says that they haven't had anybody else bring it up. N/S mat has an indentation for the clutch foot rest but O/S mat actually fouls the clutch foot rest. Am I the only one with this problem or have any of you other Furby vRS owners noticed it?

I actually noticed this a couple of days ago! I've had the thing nearly 2 months now.

Does seem a bit strange.

I have got to take Furby up to the dealer and speak to the Parts manager this week and he is going to seek further advice from Skoda UK.

Or perhaps LadyLoki can help us out?

Will be good to see if they can do something about it as although a very minor point, it detracts slightly from the interior.

Just got mine today, haven't noticed yet in the excitement. Will check tomorrow

It could also be a touch dangerous. You could actually get you foot caught on the mat whilst driving.

I havent even noticed. Will check later.

I checked today.. i never noticed it because the dealer just tucked the offending bit under the footrest

Hi,

I've checked mine, but find the mat on the driver side has a cut out for the foot rest and the passenger side has not. Hope that helps you guys or not!

i have a set of proper front mats for the furbie if anyone wants them as i no longer have a need for them :D

Just an update for you Furby owners that have the lefthand drive version of the Floor Matts. My local dealer has finally managed to order some for me and they should be in on Friday :D

TBH havent checked mine.

I do like those lockable securing lugs though in the carpets. Very neat!

Are you having to pay for them or is it considered a "warranty" item ?

I did notice the driver's side mat does lean up the footrest - and iirc, when I first picked the car up, it was tucked under the footrest. I didn't like that and took it out resting it on top. But you're right, it's not tidy and elegant.

I thought it was just a "badly sized mat", but seeing the tie downs (which are really cool), I doubt I'd let Skoda get away with that neat tie down design and have badly cut corners up the top!

I'll ask my dealer what he thinks...

Cheers for the heads-up :)

Hmm, some must be going out correct, My mats fit perfectly, driver and passenger side.

I suspect because you only picked your Furby up recently that it may have come with the correct mats.

It seems to be mainly us old owners who have the wrong mats.

Right, well, I've spoken to my dealer, and he is aware of the problem, but has been unable to locate the "proper" mats.

The latest vRSes my dealer has received still have the wrong mats :(

Don't know what to do from here.

Do you chaps who have managed to get the "proper" mats have a skoda part number for it ? I would assume the part number is different depending on whether you get LHD or RHD version mats?

Edit: I'll prolly end up phoning Skoda CS and see what they say

Mine from mid Nov has the correct mats. Has anyone else noticed that the mats don't seem particularly hard wearing? My drivers side ones have are wearing already in the clutch foot area after only 500 miles..

PS. I've been working away, otherwise I'd have done more than 500 miles.. ;-)

My mats seem to be the correct ones.

Might fit the old rubber ones from the TDi until the summer arrives.

Carpet mats don't mix well with snow/ice/mud! :(

Right the Part Numbers are

6Y2 864 436A 74C for the driver's side

and

6Y2 864 435A 74C for the passanger's side.

Hope this helps you all out. :santa:

And a Merry Christmas to you all

Thank you very much Sir Mr Peck :D:thumbup:

I'll buzz my dealer tomorrow and see what he says. Hopefully, it'll be a "oh, that's the number - no probs, I'll order, give you a ring when they've arrived and swap them over". Here's me wishing

No need to swop them over. I was told to keep the LHD matts, especially now that winter is here. So keep them I have and will put new matts in when the summer arrives. :D:thumbup:
