Citigo e IV not on configurator (is it withdrawn?)

Featured Replies

Been mulling getting an electric Citigo as second car

Tried Skoda website, but doesn’t appear on the configurator or finance offers page.

Has it been withdrawn?

A pop up regarding test drives popped up, wasn’t there either (although superb IV was in drop down)

Eventually found it in brochures section

Any idea why not on configurator, finance, or test drives pages?

OK thanks, just 400, that must be about 3 per dealer, doesn’t seem very many.

Any idea when they intend to resume taking orders, or deliveries ?

No idea. When they will reopen the configuration, but just had a quick glimpse over the basic spec and CCS charging is not standard across all the range: bit pants 😞

From Autocars website:

The Citigo has now been removed from Skoda’s online configurator, but a company spokesman said it would be made available again when Skoda restarts production in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic

Many Thanks,

Am I correct in thinking it is made at VW factory in Bratislava, Slovakia, so might restart at different time to other models

There are a few of each of 2020 VW e-Up, SEAT Mii Electric & Skoda Citigo iV advertised on Autotrader.

They might be Demonstrators they are advertising and they need to keep them 3 months / 3,000 miles.

Maybe they could be reserved, or maybe they already are and still just being advertised for sale, as happens.

still no sign of them being available.

Demonstrators are all well and good if you're thinking of buying, but not if you want to lease

I wonder how many edf reserved for themselves before RHD production went on hold in order for them to still advertise leases like this

When I ordered mine back in January I was told that only 600 would be available in the UK, but I think that included the demonstrators.

Later I was told by the dealership that the reason for the limited number was that Skoda as a company had an overall emissions target it had to meet and a small number of Citigoe iVs enabled them to (just) meet it.

When I test drove one it was painted as a demonstrator – I wonder how those eventually get sold?

Mine has just arrived in the UK and I hope to take delivery next week.
