I have the Superb iV with the Columbus looking at the maps info it does not look to be in the same format as on my last car with Columbus, this is what the status screen look like and the map seems to indicate that there is a year and month, does anyone have a clue as the manuals do not give much info other than it looks like it does updates over the built in eSIM.

Plug your vin into the Skoda online update tool and it'll give you details of any updates. Save to an SD card, plug it into the unit in your glove box and voila.

Thanks have already done that on the portal and it says no updates, however on these new versions there are no slots on the glove box unit.

They have a USB C by the phone box and a USB A in the centre box the system says it is doing an update at the moment but not sure it is.

They have an inbuilt eSIM so depending on download speed that may take a long time 😞  

I have done the normal type update before on my previous Superb  from the links on here and via the portal. but the map version is displayed like 2020 or 2019/2020 

But this looks like a year and month 20.3. I think the version in this model is a MIB 3.

FWIW my VIN is saying this too. This is unusual, as every time I checked previously there was always a latest Map update.

 

 

I appreciate this thread is regarding the iV but I've just checked for any map updates and there really should be one available.

 

Someone, maybe @MartiniB pointed to a different location in the past where they could be downloaded from.

 

@jjc did you notice the slight difference in your earlier tagging.

on Škoda's portal no more maps offered for my 2016. VIN too 😞

for unknown reason have saved links for VW Touareg's Discovery Premium,

no, VW's Discover Premium started 2019 maybe is (Škodas Columbus ?? ?? started 2020)

They seem to be unavailable for all models at the moment.

check again, link for my 2016. VIN maps download is returned

Thanks, gave it a try but does not find the update. It does look though that it is doing an update OTA using the eSIM as the map data field has gone from 20.3 to 20.4 and is now 20.5  🙂
