Anybody sprayed the lower front grills gloss black ? If so did u use plastic primer first then black spray then clear coat ?

My son has a 62 plate  black VRS and he used plastic primer and black gloss,   3 coats of primer and 2 gloss, he couldn't get any clear coat, but it doesn't look too bad 

Just worried it will flake off after washing ? Hopefully the plastic primer will hold 🤞

He cleans his car every week with my  pressure washer, then waxes and buffs it up, (treats his car better than his girlfriend, lol),  looks ok to me , never offers to clean my Octy though......

Got any pics of this? I've been checking out whether the foglight-area fake grills could undergo similar treatment, and that sounds like a good 'quarantine' project  

Yes pics please, I just spray it with Chemical guys 'black on black' spray to prevent fading.
